Yumminess

Chris is taking his LAST midterm...O-CHEM. Barf! Sadly he does have a final exam next week for O-chem but I wanted to celebrate this small step closer to being finished. Chris has been mentioning these for a while now and I've never done it. Last night I wanted to make a yummy dessert but didn't have much time and I was getting tired. Today after all the kids woke up from nap I decided to do it. I started thinking my norm...chocolate chip cookies. Then I wanted to throw some homemade bread in there. THEN.....I found THIS recipe!! Right now they are rising....hopefully they turn out as delicious as they are sounding right now...Picture to come of finished product......my tummy is growling. :>

They will look better when they are out of the oven and frosted in Cream Cheese Frosting.

Your mouth should be watering now...or at least once I get the next picture up.
If you live close enough I'm happy to share. I LOVE visitors. :>

The finished product! DELISH

(Yes I left the top one un frosted...didn't feel it was worth it...wasn't much to that one.)

My VERY happy hubby and hopeful son. Hopeful daddy will share. hehe

I spent forever making them (or should I say letting them rise---it's too cold here) so YES they were our dinner. I did have cereal but the Cinnamon Rolls were pretty much our dinner. :>

OUR FIRST SNOW!!!

Tonight we enjoyed Pizza from PAPA JOHNS...my fav. Then we were invited to Ryan and Jess' to play the Bean Game with them and the Bitnoffs! It was about 10:30 when we decided to wrap it up...the Bitnoff's had walked out just before we did and they came back in to tell us the exciting news. We head outside and sure enough there was a pretty good downfall of snow with some already on the ground! I don't care how many people HATE snow. You can't HATE the first snowfall. It is so beautiful and exciting....yes I agree that it gets old after MONTHS and in through spring but the FIRST is just perfect. Grayson saw plenty of snow last year but this was better because he talks now and actually see's things. It was so cute to watch him. What a great night!!

Here we are!!! I JUST LOVE IT!!

The Bitnoff's are in Ryan and Jess' ward.
Kevin played on the same intramural football team as Ryan and Chris. We like them. :>

Jess Amaya (hiding under her cute beanie) Ryan and Grayson

One of these day's I'm going to ask for a good REAL camera. I LOVE pictures but only ever use my phone and then the pictures come out crappy and blurry like this. I just HAVE to capture the moment though so until I can get the guts to ask for an expensive camera the crappy pictures will have to do. :>

Thanksgiving Cruise to the BAHAMAS!!!!

Yes I wish this was us

...Sadly It's not.

My parents are taking my 3 youngest siblings on a DISNEY CRUISE to the BAHAMAS!!!
Clark's Birthday is November 19th and he will be 7!! Holy Cow. SO as a birthday gift to him they are going on a cruise and taking along Clark's Favorite cousin Nathan! What a fun trip they will have. We are definitely Jealous. Last time we went on a cruise was as a whole family when I was a Junior in high school also over Thanksgiving. Still can't figure out why they didn't want to take us. LAME. They are going to have a blast and I can't wait to hear about it. I've only heard great things about Disney Cruises.

Skyler, Clark, Nathan, and Adria. Not sure where they are at currently...they won't answer their phones and they only left this morning. I think Clark is making Mickey Mouse ears?

Eatin Like Pilgrims...

which honestly wasn't very good. Chris dad won 4 tickets to the "Eat Like a Pilgrim" dinner at Thanksgiving point. The contest was...what's the last resort to get your child to calm down when nothing else seems to be working. All these people called in with answers and none of them were working so he called in and said "this worked on all of our kids...we would put them in their bouncer set it on the drier and turned it on" hahaha. They just said wow that's the best answer we've heard all night we're gonna try it (I guess their boss just had a baby and she was having a hard time). SO he won 4 tickets...all priced at 27 bucks! sweet steal. So we walk in and the workers are all dressed as pilgrims there are leaves and dried corn stalks and hay bales set up through out the barn. They also had a live calf, turkey, and little goat...SO CUTE! They first asked those who were decendents of those who came across as pilgrims to please stand. I GOT TO STAND!!! My 10th Great Grandfather is Governor William Bradford!!! HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Dinner:
lettuce with oil and vinegar as dressings
sourdough bread (my favorite part)
apple cider that was even too sweet for Chris (he described it as a liquid jolly rancher)
smashed squash and pumpkin
creamed corn (slop)
Turkey
Pork
Berry Cobbler (tasted like pancakes and boysenberry syrup)

I shouldn't complain. We got a FREE MEAL! It was a fun night out.

Here we are with Governor Bradford...My 10th great grandfather and Grayson's 11th!!!

Gray happy as ever eating his Berry Cobbler

And I forgot to mention they had guillotines (sp?)
hahahahaha

EXCITED FOR THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holiday Spirit

Today I turned on my Christmas Music on pandora (how I love that we have a bluray player!) Then this evening I had to call my mom for some much needed help on what to make for dinner...haha does anybody else do this or just me? hopefully I'm not the only one. I try really hard to make dinner for my hubby every night or most nights and sometimes I just struggle because I'm not good at making up my own recipes or stepping out of my comfort zone and try new recipes...especially if I can't see a picture. haha So my mom listed off a few ideas and I picked one! Party Potatoes...and old time favorite of mine and for some reason I can never make it the same everytime. My sweet husband seemed to like it because he at least got himself seconds. Then we had a delicious green salad with bacon bits, cucumbers, cheese, and carrots. I had ranch dressing (of course) and Chris had Italian. Speaking of Holiday Spirit I've decided to pull out my Christmas decorations (once I go get them from storage) and start decorating!! I don't have many Thanksgiving decorations so I might as well skip it and get on with Christmas. Well while cooking tonight I pulled out my Christmas Apron made by my momma probably 5 christmas' ago!!!

(and it is totally the apron that makes me look fat! just wanted to clarify that!! :> )

Here I am in my Christmas gettup and dinner! I sent a thank you to my mom and she wrote back....

"Awe! And dont you look like you should be on the cover of some Christmas Southern Cooking Magazine!! I love it!"

Thanks Momma!

Baby my my

We LOVE having baby my my at our house. Grayson just loves on her gives her lots of kisses and loves to check in our her when she makes any kind of sound sleeping or not. Halloween Twinners!

Well I searched for weeks for a good Halloween costume for Grayson. Once I FINALLY joined pinterest I began searching for simple costumes or just ideas. Well I came across Peter Pan found the blog and the tutorial was quite simple. Come to find out Kylie had the same great idea and had also found the same peter pan costume before I did and I had no idea. hahaha So here they are in their darling halloween costumes. Kylie went all out and made the belt and little dagger and I cheated on that part and bought Gray a real dagger he could later play with and just used his own belt...I was totally running out of time. haha.

Preston looks so adorable...And Kylie has an AWESOME camera which brings out good pictures...I wish I had one.

Here we are. Gray is Peter Pan and Chris was his large Shadow! hahaha. I searched everywhere for Green tights or leggings and couldn't find any so we dyed some cream tights green. Turned out pretty good.

We ran into this darling Tinker Bell and had to get a picture! Should have made his top a little longer -- even though I did the first time it kept riding up. hahaha. His pose is cracking me up! Better luck next time!

Out Trick-Or-Treating. He had a blast going from door to door with his pumpkin and
collecting Candy...probably the best night of a toddler's life. NOW let me make it clear that he had one half of a piece of candy...he hasn't seen the rest. That's for me. No way am I letting him eat that candy.

Hope everybody had a great Halloween!!!

HALLOWEEN!!!

Happy Halloween TODAY!!! We FINALLY got to carve our pumpkins and I've FINALLY finished Gray's costume...well all the parts that I'm making. haha He's going to look SOOO cute tonight for Trick-or-Treating!! I CANNOT wait! last year Gray was a mummy...he was 10 months old and had just started walking. It was PERFECT! this year I struggled for weeks to decide what to dress grayson up as. Well I searched everywhere on pinterest for Halloween Costumes...and something simple I could make. I came across this costume and just died. I had my mom help me get started and it was pretty simple then I got to the last piece and could NOT figure it out. So yesterday we were at the in-laws and my mother in law helped me work through it and it looks FABULOUS! I'm so excited! You will have to wait for pictures from tonight to see his costume! Here is mine and Chris' Pumpkin!! My hubby is awesome! Love him.

Pretty sure my parents have pictures of my siblings and I doing this every year with our pumpkins. One of my favorite halloween traditions!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
