Eatin Like Pilgrims...

which honestly wasn't very good. Chris dad won 4 tickets to the "Eat Like a Pilgrim" dinner at Thanksgiving point. The contest was...what's the last resort to get your child to calm down when nothing else seems to be working. All these people called in with answers and none of them were working so he called in and said "this worked on all of our kids...we would put them in their bouncer set it on the drier and turned it on" hahaha. They just said wow that's the best answer we've heard all night we're gonna try it (I guess their boss just had a baby and she was having a hard time). SO he won 4 tickets...all priced at 27 bucks! sweet steal. So we walk in and the workers are all dressed as pilgrims there are leaves and dried corn stalks and hay bales set up through out the barn. They also had a live calf, turkey, and little goat...SO CUTE! They first asked those who were decendents of those who came across as pilgrims to please stand. I GOT TO STAND!!! My 10th Great Grandfather is Governor William Bradford!!! HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Dinner:
lettuce with oil and vinegar as dressings
sourdough bread (my favorite part)
apple cider that was even too sweet for Chris (he described it as a liquid jolly rancher)
smashed squash and pumpkin
creamed corn (slop)
Turkey
Pork
Berry Cobbler (tasted like pancakes and boysenberry syrup)

I shouldn't complain. We got a FREE MEAL! It was a fun night out.

Here we are with Governor Bradford...My 10th great grandfather and Grayson's 11th!!!

Gray happy as ever eating his Berry Cobbler

And I forgot to mention they had guillotines (sp?)
hahahahaha

EXCITED FOR THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
