ICE CREAM LIFE SAVER!!!

So the other day we had stopped at McDonald's for a buck Ice Cream for a quick treat. Payton isn't a big fan of her carseat (opposite for Grayson) Anyway she had really started to fuss so I hopped into the back seat to try and get her settled. Chris wanted to get a redbox so he parked and I got Payton out to soothe her some as I ate my Ice Cream. Of course there was a line so I started to get a little uneasy because she just wouldn't relax. She is totally a girl and has very sensitive feelings...sounds weird and maybe crazy but I can already tell. haha I couldn't get out of the car to walk around because she was crying loud. Grayson also starts to talk and babble loudly when Payton starts to fuss so I was really going nuts. Anyway I was at the end of my rope so (be prepared and I'm NOT a horrible mom for doing this.) I grabbed her binky and lightly touched it to my ice cream cone. I barely touched it and then I licked it myself so it was mostly my saliva. I put it in Payton's mouth! She immediately stopped crying, closed her eyes and was asleep!!! I COULDN"T BELIEVE IT! I busted out laughing it was just too funny! I thought what have I done?! I put her into a sugar coma! hahaha. No she was fine but she must have just tasted something different and it calmed her down and she fell asleep. 

Now every time I see Ice Cream or eat it I have to giggle to myself thinking of Payton. No I don't feed my baby Ice Cream. It was a once time thing and I was very desperate trying not to lose my patience as I waited for Chris. Just had to write this story down. : )

The other piece of information I wanted to share was today (funny) we had stopped at a fro yo place since Gray had behaved in the BYU library with Chris. Chris and I were standing there doing some testers and filling up her bowl when I hear Chris say "SCARLET!! LOOK!!" I looked over at him holding Payton and she had her fist to her mouth with her thumb sticking into her mouth and loudly sucking away on that thumb!!! I was shocked!! Neither me or Chris were thumb suckers. That said almost ALL of my siblings have been thumb suckers. hahaha. I try to keep her sucking on the Bink so she doesn't turn into a thumb sucker...it will be easier to ween her from the binky because we can throw them away....sadly I can't do that with her thumb. Guess we will see what happens. Wish I had gotten a pic of her doing that but I missed it. 

And on to my last piece of exciting information!!! 

CHADDY GETS HOME AUGUST 29TH!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!! This was all of us the last time we were together...just days before he left. Can't believe it's been two years. Gray was 9 months old when he left and is now 2 1/2. Payton wasn't even born yet! WOAH!
