It is POSSIBLE!!

When I was pregnant with Grayson I knew I wanted to have my fingers and toes painted with pretty polish. And I did...they were a pretty cherry red. I just figure when you're in the hospital about to deliver a baby and delivering a baby most of you doesn't look very decent. You are very exposed, wear an ugly gown and well you get my point. So I knew my finger nails and toenails were the two things I could count on looking nice.

When I learned how to do gel toes and bought all the stuff to do them myself I told myself I would have pretty sparkly toes in the delivery room the next time I had a baby. So about 2 months ago I tried doing gel toes on myself. BOY was that rough! I sat on the couch and pulled up our piano bench thinking that would be fairly easy. I was sooo worn out when I finished. Sadly they only last up to 6 weeks. I then started to plan to have them done at a salon and get a nice pedicure while I was there. We've been cracking down on our budget to make it through our last semester of school before we can get back to Texas and work to save money again before Dental School (hopefully starting fall of 2013). So no going to the Salon for me. I had my toes painted a nice cherry red again wanting them to be bright and happy for delivery. When I painted them I sat on the floor knees up with my belly in between bent over reaching my toes. This last week I thought to myself well hey if I can paint them I can do gel toes...I will just take a few more breaks. So Gray went down for a nap around noon today and I went to work. I got all my items set up and plopped my big self on the floor. Not extremely comfortable but I knew I could do it quickly.

Here is my process. Amaya was napping in Gray's room so he loves to nap on mommy's bed. Then there's my toes halfway finished. Myself with my belly sticking out between my legs haha. And my purple sparkly gel toes!! Took me just over 35 minutes to accomplish. Now baby girl can come. : )

So I am proud to say I didn't have to have my hubby paint my toes even though I know he willingly would. It probably would have been a different story if I had asked him to help me do gel toes.

IT IS POSSIBLE!!! : )
