Dr. Appointment 37w 4d

We had our dr. appointment or I should say midwife appointment this last thursday. I was 37 weeks and 4 days and really crossing my fingers that things were progressing. I've been having some contractions every so often nothing extreme but definitely contractions. Along with those I've been having the shooting pain down in my pelvis/cervix area which is supposed to be my cervix working itself out. We get in there and the midwife says if we can get into that cervix just enough next week when you're 38 weeks we will go ahead and stretch your cervix to see if that helps things move along some more. She goes to check me and says well....you're about 70% effaced this time which means my cervix is softening and thinning out but your cervix is completely SHUT! I think it's even a little shocking to her because I'm thinning out but not opening. Kind of frustrating but luckily I still have a few weeks before I really get my panties in a wad. So she said well let me try as hard as I can to see if I can just force my way through to get something open. NOTHING! grrrrr. Well I know with Grayson when I had the c-section at 39 weeks I was dilated 1/2 a centimeter and my Dr. forced her way into my cervix to break my water. So my next appointment is this coming Tuesday and we are just crossing our fingers that my cervix is open just enough for her to make her way in to strip my membranes and hope that gets somethings going. I have been doing lots of different things (as I've said before) to try and help get things going. So far no good.

Weight at 36w 4d: 149.8

Weight at 37w 4d: 150.6

Weight Gained by 37 weeks and 4 days: 26lbs 

 WOOT WOOT!!! Guess I can be happy about that. With Gray I had gained 29lbs by 39 weeks so I am staying on track. I think Payton might be on the smaller side...the last couple appointments I've had the midwives have been a little worried that she is breach because they can't seem to figure out if the head is at the bottom or top. So they have brought the ultrasound in both times and both times she has been head down. The midwife said to me this time..."She must just have a little bum because it feels similar to the head size." haha poor girl might have a little booty. Grayson was small too but LONG and he still is long...he's always been in the 90th percentile for height...he gets it from his dad and uncles...definitely not my side of the family. haha

Well my 37 week picture is in another post so check it out!! As for now I will be writing on Tuesday about my appointment. We have been praying for my body to progress properly...which could still be at 40 weeks. haha Till Tuesday!!
