Today I had an early morning (well 9:20) appointment with my midwife. Today we met with Jennifer Wright Bennion who I haven't met yet and I absolutely loved her. I've loved all of them but I really liked this one. haha
I got in there and did my "sample" then they called me back to get on the scale (the worst part) and check my blood pressure. I step on the scale dreading a 150 only to see a 146.8!!!!! I WAS THRILLED! I couldn't believe it either. I had just weighed myself this last Sunday and I was 148.8ish--now I was wearing jeans but I didn't think they could add that much weight on but I did something right this time! I was in my comfortable cotton tight fit sweatpants type pants and a shades shirt. I must be weighing light because this time I actually had a breakfast before I went in..which I never do because it adds weight to the scale. hahaha Anyway that was super exciting news today.
We get in to see the Jen and she has me lay on the table to measure my belly, hear my heartbeat and feel around to see if baby was Breached. My belly measured 32 1/2 weeks so a little behind but the midwife said I just carry small so no worries there! We listened to the heart beat...Grayson turned on the heart monitor then helped wipe the jelly off my belly...he's just so intrigued with everything to do with the baby. She then felt around for babies head and bum...HAPPY NEWS she is no longer in Breach position...her head was down and bum was up in the air!!! I was sooo relieved to hear that. My chances of V-BAC are even better now! She then gave us some tips and ideas on what to do/take to start softening my cervix so by the time I need to start progressing and getting into labor (my due date) things would be started already. One of the things we have already been doing is taking walks...We walk all the way up out of Wymount cross the street to the temple, then walk even farther up to the top of the hill around the temple...then thank goodness the rest is down hill because at that point my belly is tighter than ever and I'm super worn out. hahaha We walk back down to the MTC and across again down onto 9th East and University and back up a short hill (out of breath again and contracting) and back to our apartment. Chris pushes grayson in the stroller and he runs in the grassy area at the bottom of the temple in the open grass. It takes us about 30 min. It's great little exercise and hopefully cause for some cervix softening. haha
Enough about my appointment! Last night Chris had his second intramural tournament football game. He had two awesome catches and a TOUCHDOWN!!! He was a happy hubby after the game which is nice for me. Their next game is this saturday which sadly we won't be here for since we are headed to Rexburg for Callie and Kyle's graduation and Easter weekend but hopefully they win so Chris can play one last time. If not...he told me last night he would be happy due to his great game!
Some days it hits me that I'm getting ready to have a second child...Is that just weird or what?!
Total flashbacks reading this . . . I remember doing the EXACT same walk when we were at BYU and I was pregnant and wanting to get things ready and moving along :) . So excited for you guys!
