Well I started getting anxious for our night around 8. I knew it was going to be misesrable and I was planning for the worst. Come 8:30 chris looks at me and says "Alright here we go..." NOOOO! I wasn't ready and I knew Gray wasn't either. I let Chris take him back as I watched my show. Chris went in maybe 3 times to convince Gray to lay down...wasn't working. Finally I said well I'm watching my show you find one to watch and we will see how long it takes for him to fall asleep. After lots of exhausted crying from the little man my show ends and I'm getting anxious again...So thank goodness there was another show I found on hulu. Put in my headphones and I'm good to go for another 45 minutes or so. I couldn't hear a thing. I would MUCH rather let him cry it out while I am awake than in the middle of the night when I am desperately trying to sleep!
So it took him just over an HOUR to finally stop crying...Chris peaks in and has to use my phone to see...Gray was laying right in front of the door so my poor christopher desperately tries to squish through the small space...boy was that a funny site...and yet I had to stay quiet. hahahaha. He picks up Gray and of course he wakes up...NOOOOOO!!! He lays him down does a little bit of convincing...Gray asks for his night light to be turned on so he does. Gray was silent. Hallelujah! I head off to bed maybe 30 minutes later and start to get anxious again just counting on him waking up in the middle of the night. Chris also asked me to get up with Gray if he woke up because he had a test the next morning.
I felt as if I was up every hour trying to listen for Grayson. Come 4am still nothing I was in disbelief. Chris' alarm goes off at 7am....STILL NOTHING! WHAT THE WHAT?! Chris jumps in the shower and after he gets out he asks me...did he come in here with you? Did you turn off his night light? Nope I didn't do anything....It was 7:45 when we heard Gray for the FIRST time all night! He must have turned off the nightlight on his own and stayed in his room. HOLY COW! He came and layed next to me as Chris finished getting ready for class....He says "Hi mommy" --"Hi Grayson You slept in your Big Boy Bed!!" --nodding his head he says "Treat!" What a little stinker! He knew! ha. Well I was happy to say yes you get a treat for sleeping in your big boy bed!
Well 2 weeks of horrible sleeping and we get one wonderful night of sleep...maybe tonight will go just as well? I'm doubting but I have hope.
