Our own "Little Kingdom"

We welcomed our baby boy Grayson Christopher Reece into this world December 9,2009 just in time for the Christmas season!! He weighed in at 7lbs 8oz 21in and happy as can be! He has been such a blessing and joy to have in our home. I get a little jealous of Chris sometimes only because Grayson looks so much like he did when he was a baby. haha. I do believe baby Gray has a nice packard skin color which is a great thing! But everybody does tell me he looks just like Chris. Hopefully as more of his features come in he will have some that come from me. :>
My family came into town to spend Christmas with us this year in our small 3 bedroom home!! WE LOVED IT! We haven't had that many people in our home ever but we are usually so busy that we don't have the time be around people that much so we LOVED having tons of people around to play with Grayson and spend time visiting with us. And we just missed our family so it was a great holiday! My mom and ALL my siblings drove in Sunday night and arrived around 11. Clark was the first one to hold Grayson. They are only 5 years apart so it was so cute to watch clark being an uncle! He was constantly warning me of Grayson spitting up or crying or his Mustard Poop! hehe. We decided that Clark probably held Grayson a full 3 minutes the whole time he was here. 5 times a day for 5 seconds each for about 8 days. He was sad to leave. Too cute. We spent monday and tuesday working on the house cleaning it up and fixing somethings that needed more than just one man. The house looks MUCH better than it did when we bought it thanks to my wonderful hubby and brothers! My dad flew in Tuesday night and we were able to go pick him up then we all went out to eat. Wednesday we drew names for our secret santa and spent the morning shopping for gifts! I had my 2 week check up that afternoon. It went really well. My doctor says I'm doing extremely well for somebody who had a c-section! I guess i'm doing way better than most women who have c-sections! I feel great. i have already lost about 20 pounds and it's still dropping. Little Gray sucks everything out of me so it's all going down pretty fast. haha Thursday we spent the morning playing games while Mom and Dad went out to finish shopping. That afternoon we had christmas dinner and put on our own Nativity for my parents. That night we opened our secret santa gifts and the traditional HOMEMADE PAJAMAS from my mom. What memories. This year she did a great job and they weren't too bad. The cutest ones were Graysons. :> Friday morning we woke up to spy on santa around 6am! we spent the rest of the morning opening and playing with presents. We watched Australia and took naps. Christmas night we went to see the lights at the Opryland Hotel. BEAUTIFUL! but absolutely FREEZING outside. Saturday the boys went to the park one more time for Clark to get out of the house. Then that afternoon we were able to go to the Hotel to swim...another activity for Clark. At 5:30 we went for dinner and games with my dad's cousin and her family. Sunday was a wonderful day. Chris and I celebrated our One Year Anniversary and my family was able to participate in Grayson's Baby Blessing. Sadly Chris got strep throat...it all started with adria at the beginning of the week. So I spent our anniversary taking care of Gray by myself, saying by to my family, and taking care of a very sick husband. We will be celebrating more this week. :>

Chris is still sick and his throat looks horrible! But he is slowly recovering thank goodness. Growing up I was always taught that our families are like our own little "eternal" kingdom. On my dad's phone you would find that me, my siblings, my mom and Chris are all listed under "My Kingdom" Chris and I have now started our "Own Little Kingdom" and we feel so blessed to have baby Grayson as part of that kingdom. He has been such a great baby and we love him deeply! We are so grateful to friends and family who have blessed our lives since Grayson has been here and years before. It is such a blessing to be surrounded by people you love!
