Chris and I have recently been married and like most people in this stage we decided to start a blog. I really enjoy reading peoples blogs and staying updated with family and friends. So here I am writing my first blog. I'm thinking maybe I should use this as my journal...well sort of. Anyway. I was actually on my cousin's blog and Chris turned to me and said you should make one of those for us. It can be another hobby you can work on when you have downtime. I laughed and said NO. He came back and said "WHY? Because we don't really have anything going for us right now?" :> hahaha. I guess we don't really have much to write about.
Chris is currently involved in school writing 8 page papers on stupid topics stressing himself out. I am currently unemployed desperately searching for a job. There are never any excuses but there are so many people hiring but SOOO many more people applying for the job. Luckily we are doing just fine. We are financially okay. Before we got married we worked for my dad and some other people at home to save up money. Then we also got money from our tax returns.
We are in the Green Hills ward which is full of Doctors and wealthy people. Not easy seeing that we are definitely not wealthy. But we absolutely LOVE our ward. I have a calling in the Primary to teach the Sunbeams. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! They are sooo cute. They always have the funniest and cutest things to say. Chris still doesn't have a calling but he hopes to get one soon. Our first Sunday in the ward we met our newest best friends STEVEN AND AMANDA HAYMORE. Amanda is pregnant and due in June. They are having a boy and we are so unbelievably excited for them. Probably cause we want to hold the baby all the time. haha. Steven attends Vanderbilt for the law program and Amanda is a substitute teacher. They are leaving us for the summer to have their baby back at home with Amanda's family in Las Vegas. It will be sad to see them leave but we can't wait until they get back in August for the next school year. We are very excited for them to have their baby. They have been great friends to us since we have arrived in Nashville.
My family is coming into town this week to give Chris and adjustment on his braces and to visit us for their spring break. They arrive Wednesday around noon and will be leaving on Saturday. We can't wait to see them. We are going to the zoo, and also to the Tennessee temple on Thursday. That will be a very neat experience for the kids because it is one of the smaller temples the church has built. We love attending the temple and are so grateful for the blessings we receive.
That's pretty much it. Just trying to catch up for what has been missed since we have started our new lives together!!
