Well BUMMER!!!

I am slowly but surely learning that we can make as many PLANS as we want and yet those plans don't always happen. BUMMER! Here is a little bit of info on what we had Planned...

1. Baby #2 coming in May --- don't worry that's still happening---so far
2. wait to hear from the last 8 Dental Schools we applied to
3. Chris graduate in August
4. If we got into Dental School we would  move and start in August
4. If we DIDN'T get into a Dental School we would move to Texas
5. Re-take and re-apply for Dental Schools
6. Work for my dad
7. Save some money
8. Take some first year dental school classes to continue education
9. Wait to be accepted into a Dental School with Chris' hopefully Much better DAT score.

That was our plan...I obviously knew some things may or may not work out...as you can see I put two number 4's in there for that specific reason. Then we started to realize... well wait a minute if you're taking classes over the summer to graduate and DON'T get into Dental School this year then when will you have time to study for and retake the DAT? CRAP! So we came up with another plan...Chris would NOT graduate if come May he hadn't been accepted into a Dental School...he would take the spring and summer semesters off and study for retake the DAT and reapply for dental school then he would take the last 9 credits he has and graduate in December. He needs a good amount of NO CLASSES to study for and really prepare to take the DAT so he would need to take off school from April-August.

Well today Chris heard from one of the only schools we felt we REALLY had a slight chance of getting into declining our application for their Dental Program. MAJOR BUMMER right?! Yes major bummer...I spoke to my mom and she said  "Well at least you can move forward!" In a tiny way she is happy (like me) because he can now really commit to those couple semesters to really FOCUS on just the DAT, Which will help him get a way better score *hopefully* then he will have a better chance at getting in in Texas and save at LEAST 150,000 in debt! I know that sounds horrible but do you actually know how much a dentist can make their first year out of dental school? We won't go there... Anyway. Patience is a virtue as my mom said.

So now this is kind of what our plans look like: (We still have a few schools left to hear from but we really aren't planning to get into any of them.)

1. Baby Coming in May
2. Chris study and prepare for DAT
3. Chris take DAT
4. Re-submit Application come July or August?
5. Move into Condo to save money!! It will be an adjustment but a good one
6. Finish last Semester of 9 credits in the Fall
7. Hopefully get some interviews with Dental Schools
8. Graduate in December

It probably isn't even a good idea for me to be making these so called plans cause they will either fall through or something else will come up and I'm just jynxing myself. But I am just one of those people that likes to somewhat know what we are doing and what our next step could be. I guess all I can say is...

Wish us luck from here!!!

At least I know this baby is coming...
(sort of anything could happen right?!)
32 weeks and 1 day today...8 weeks left!
