Valentine's Day

I LOVE my hubby year round. We do things for each other when we can whether it's a simple surprise or something I knew he wanted. So no we don't just celebrate on Valentine's Day...it's everyday! BUT I grew up with Valentine's Day just like any other holiday. In fact my family had a week long Valentine's celebration. We would draw names and keep it secret until the end of the week. One year my mom bought at heart shaped waffle maker I remember having them for Valentine's day for Breakfast with chocolate chips and ice cream of course! What a great thing as teenagers to give gifts (homemade and not) from sibling to sibling or parents to the kids to feel extra love and support from a family member. It was always a special memory and I plan to do the same with my kids. Everybody has their own thoughts and opinions about Valentine's Day and how it's not a real holiday because we should always celebrate our love and not just on Valentine's day... Our's is celebrated everyday and I love this day even more because I have 2 boys to share it with...no need to be negative.

His dad has season tickets so I'm surprising Chris and taking him to a game!! I'm a good wife. :> hahaha


And this beauty is from my sweet hubby. He bought this real pearl necklace back in January and has been debating on when to give it to me....Valentine's Day or my Birthday in 2 weeks on the 28th of February. He woke me up with it this morning. It's perfect.
