Well as you might know Chris applied for Dental School back in August...which we knew could either be good or bad...mostly in that he's not the best candidate right now so he had a slight chance of getting in. We applied to 18 schools and so far only 2 of those 18 have sent letters saying we don't want you (that sounds horribly mean haha) So that is slightly good news. We are positive though that he's not getting into Baylor which is a bummer but OKAY. The thing is if he doesn't get in this year he will have a much better chance when he applies in May to get in August of 2012. HE will have taken more classes he will retake the DAT which hopefully will be a better score. He's just a little behind right now because he just decided to do this about a year ago. Anyway Baylor sent out their acceptances yesterday around midnight and I think they might be one of the only schools that sends pretty much ALL of them out at the same time.
Well Chris was a little bummed and frustrated about a lot of things. He knew he didn't have a great chance but he is just SOOO SICK of school and undergrad and classes that he feels are somewhat a waste of his time. He grew up in Arizona so I said well I think you should call into the school and just check in on your application see if they can give you anything. HE called and they didn't answer so he tried again this morning. She actually had some information for him. Turns out his letters of recommendations hadn't been received....either they're that stupid or somehow they didn't show up when he turned all of his other stuff in back in August. So she said we've received them I will put that in the computer and send it on. SHEESH! Seriously?! It gave me a little bit of hope knowing that they missed something but it's also crappy because that means he could be at the bottom of the stack. Who knows...could be good could be nothing.
I would love to end up in Arizona. Chances are small but we can always hope he still has one. haha. We will be doing more praying and scripture reading and attending the temple to search for answers on what our next step will be. There is a lot going on when it comes to what classes to take if he doesn't get in anywhere and all that jazz. Thanks for listening to me ramble on about Dental School business. It's kind of our lives right now. Studying and Dental School application stuff. haha. One little piece of good news if I didn't already say this is we applied to 18 schools and 2 have said no...those other 16 schools still have to turn us down. hahaha.
Lots of Praying....

When I first read about Arizona I got excited then remembered we don't live there anymore. Haha. We lived by the dental school there too. If you guys do end up there we may be moving back after Chris finishes up here, June 2013. It would be so fun to be by each other. It is so hard not knowing what your future holds...I hated that. Did he apply to UNLV? They accept a large percent from BYU and lot of others that are LDS. They love the Mormons :). Huge LDS community there. We are thinking of you guys during this stressful time. Good luck!
