Public vs. Private

Well I'm back to Public and hopefully it's not a huge mistake! What's everybody's opinions? Is it really that risky? I just feel like people forget about my blog or can't find it or can't remember their login information so it's easier to have it public so all my friends and family can access it easier.

  1. I think it is a personal preference. As a reader I prefer blogs that aren't private because they show up in my google reader. As a writer, I prefer to somewhat control who I share things with and the only way to do that with blogging is private. But it all comes down to what you're trying to accomplish with having a blog! Either way, your blog is fun for me to read so just keep writing! :)

  2. I agree with you Scarlet. I changed mine back to public for the same reasons. If there are things I only want certain people to know, I won't put it on my blog. I can call them or email them, you know?!?!

  3. I agree with what all three of you think. I went private a loonnnngg time ago when I was starting off, but it didn't seem that fun-cuz no one got to see it, and yea, forgot about it - and i think it's fun sharing things with others. So i went public. haha. i'm glad you went public cuz now you show up on my scroll list when I log in!

  4. I think you should definitely be public so you will show up on my google reader :). I prefer private though. I've got former students out there that I don't want knowing about my life. Plus, I feel like I can share more personal things since I know who exactly is reading my blog. I don't really care if many people read it because it's my journal so it's really only for our family anyway.
