We played outside for quite some time today and had a blast. Towards the end Gray gets bored of being in the sand and going down the same slide so he starts to wander. He always comes back and responds to me when I call. He was playing with another boy and was going up and down a hill around the stairs. Well he decided to try the stairs this time. Usually he sits down and scoots but this time apparently he wanted to try going down on his feet and can barely reach the railing. I was watching this whole time just hoping...I guess I could have been an over protective mom and ran to his rescue but I like to let him work things out....I think that's what makes him so tough. More stories about that. Anyway So he got to the second step and didn't quite make it to the next lost his footing and (it was sadly quite funny) But he barrel roled the whole way down the CEMENT steps. He whined and cried more out of scare than hurt. I did my mommy thing and went to check him out. No big deal he did a great job somehow protecting his noggin and had no problems. one thing he does have is some nice scratch marks down his left leg that will have a little bruising. Poor guy. But after a second or two he was over it and happy as can be. He's such a tough little guy and I'm so happy about that! I needed a BOY like that. Love my little man.
